Australian Leasing Group (2005-2008)
In 2005, Deasil partnered with LeasePlan Australia to form Australian Leasing Group (ALG), a finance company that leased laptop computers.
LeasePlan, acting in its capacity as agent for and on behalf of ALG, leased laptop computers to its clients’ employees and ALG offered salary sacrifice laptop leasing to approved customers.
Laptop computers were amongst the most popular items to salary sacrifice because they were FBT-exempt and salary packaging was considered more tax-effective than purchasing outright, using post-tax income.
ALG provided a variety of market-leading laptops including Apple, Toshiba, IBM and more, and offered competitive packaged deals on 12, 24 and 36-month terms.
